Day 1, Arrive Kashgar

Activities: pick you from Kashgar airport and transfer to your hotel
Details:Our professional tour guide and driver will welcome you at Kashgar airport and transfer to your Hotel. Have a good rest after a long flight.
Kashgar, an oasis city in Xinjiang, is one of the westernmost cities of China, located near the borders of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan. It has a history of over 2,000 years and served as a trading post and strategically important city on the Silk Road between China, the Middle East and Europe.

Day 2, Kashgar to Tashkorgan

Activities: Drive along the KKH, Stop at Opal Village, Oytagh Kunlunshan Colorful mountain range, Gaz Valley and check point, Bulungkol Valley (white sand mountain), Karakul lake
Details:We set out along the Sino – Pakistan Karakorum Highway, on the Pamir plateau (the roof of the world)visit Karakul Lake (3600m above sea level). The lake sits at the foot of the notorious, Muztagh Ata (7546m) and Gongur (7719m) mountains. ‘Muztagh Ata’ means Father of the Ice Mountain and is one of the most beautiful and mysterious mountains in the world.
Lunch will be at the lake side restaurant as your like.
You can stop along the way at good spots for photos as much as you like or hiking around Karakul lake for a few hours. Our driver and guide never mind for your many stops or spending time for hiking
Arrive Tashkorgan in the late afternoon and stay overnight.

Day 3, Tashkorgan to Kashgar

Activities: Visit Stone Fort, Tajik village, Hike on the Grassland and drive back to Kashgar after lunch
Details:Tashkurgan Tajik autonomous county was once an important hub on the old Silk Road. The area borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan  via the Kunjerab Pass and Wahan Corridor.
After breakfast, you’ll have an opportunity to see the town’s ancient Stone Fort – still standing after 2200 years! ‘Tashkurgan’ is a translation of ‘Stone Fort.’ Later Hike on the grassland next to the Stone Fort.
After lunch, drive back to Kashgar and you can make stops along the way if you like.

Day 4, Explore Kashgar City

Activities: Visit Grand mosque, Apak Hoja tomb (which is also called Fragrant Concubine Tomb) and Old city walking tours
Details:Explore the rich, endless culture of the Uighurs in Kashgar. Spend some time by the Id Kah mosque, the largest mosque in China and marvel at the intricate architecture of Kashgar’s historic Apak Hoja Tomb which is also known as Fragrant concubine tomb).
We’ll spend time in the Kashgar Old Town and have some walking tours through some ancient historical parts; Stop at a century-old tea house for a short break and taste local medicinal teas such as such as those containing rose, saffron, honey and other ingredients.

Day 5, Kashgar to Hotan

Activities: Drive along the Southern Silk Road, stop in Yarkant for sightseeing
Details:We set out from Kashgar after breakfast, first stop at Yarkand for a few hours to enjoy local culture and do some sightseeing. visit the Golden Mosque (built in 1533) and its graveyard which includes several hundred-year-old tombs. Yarkand was once the capital of many Uighur Kingdoms in ancient times and an important station on the old Silk Road. It has more than 2000 years of history.
After Yarkand we’ll continue to Hotan and arrive by dinner time
Stay overnight in Hotan
Note: at the moment, it is not possible to visit Yarkand. So we are not sure if it will be possible to visit when you take this tour.

Day 6, Hotan For Whole Day

Activities: Grand Market, Silk Fabric, Jade River, Carpet factory, Hotan museum and Night Market
Details:After breakfast, visit Hotan grand Bazaar for a few hours; Then drive to Traditional Silk Fabric where you can see how to get the silk and weave into cloth by the traditional way. later also visit Carpet weaving workshop where you can see how beautiful Hotan carpets weaved by hand. Silk, Carpet and Jade, all of these three products are very indigenous to this area of Xinjiang and famous along the Silk Road of Central Asia for thousands of years.
In the afternoon visit Hotan Museum which houses some impressive cultural relics unearthed from Ancient Cities in the Taklamakan desert as well as Mummies from Ancient tombs near Hotan.
In the evening, walk around Hotan Night Market where you will experience some most authentic Xinjiang cuisine including Roast goose eggs, Goat soup, yogurt dumplings, Pumpkin dumplings, hand-pulled noodles, Many different kind of Kebabs, Fruits and pigeon soup.
There are more than 260 stalls where you can choose what you like as well as enjoy local dance performance
Options Activities: if you want to ride camel in Taklamakan Desert, we can arrange it if you let us know in advance. It is on your own expenses.

Day 7, Hotan to Kucha

Activities: Drive through second largest shifting sand desert
Details:An early start today as we set out for Kucha after breakfast and drive into the desert highway.
This desert highway was built from 2005 to 2007 and opened in 2008. it is one of the best and first class highways in Xinjiang. it is a best opportunity to enjoy the spectacular sceneries of Taklimakan desert which is the second largest shifting sand on the planet.
The word ‘Taklimakan’ means “Sea of Death”: ‘once you come in you can never go back.’ This is absolutely certain to be an unforgettable part of your trip and we arrive Kucha in the evening and check into our hotel.

Day 8, Kucha For Whole Day

Activities: Visit Kizil Thousand Budha caves and Tianshan mysterious Grand Canyon
Details:In the morning visit the Kizil Thousand Buddha caves which sit high on the cliffs over the Northern bank of the Muzat River, 75km (46miles) from Kucha city. The caves were hewn between the 3rd and 8th century and formED one of the earliest Buddhist art treasure troves in China. In fact the caves were in use one century before the famous Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang.
we have lunch at a restuarant next to the caves and drive to Tianshan mysterious Grand Canyon which is about a little more than an hour distance from the caves. Tianshan Great Canyon is located about 70km from Kucha city. The canyon is attractive not only for its colors but also the formation of the mountains there. Today, Tianshan Grand Canyon is regarded as one of the ten most beautiful in China.
Drive back to Kucha after a long and exciting one day trip and have dinner before going back to hotel.

Day 9, Kucha to Korla

Activities: Visit Kucha Grand mosque and old city, Subash Ancient Buddha ruins and Kizil Kagha Beacon tower. Then drive to Korla after lunch
Details:After breakfast, we’ll spend time at old city area and visit Kucha’s Grand mosque. The mosque was built in the 17th Century and roof of the mosque was constructed with 300,000 eggs, cement and bricks.
Then drive to the ancient city of Subash (2nd-3rd century A.D.) as well as the Ancient Kizil Kagha Beacon tower which is an ancient military outpost. Then drive to Korla after lunch and arrive in the evening

Day 10, Korla to Turpan

Activities: leave for Turpan after breakfast and arrive at about noon; After lunch visit Yargul (Jiaohe) Ancient city, Karez underground Irrigations system and Emin Minaret
Details:Leave for Turpan after breakfast and arrive by Lunch time. then we begin our tour with Yargul Ancient city which is one of the best preserved ancient cities in China. The ruins of the buildings are divided into temples, civilian dwellings and government offices. Workshops, residential houses and the streets are still visible and time there is a time spent in a  long lost world. 
After an hour of visiting around the ancient city, we drive to see the world famous Karez irrigation system, unique to this part of the world. The system is considered as one of the three great projects in China with the other two being the Great Wall and the Grand Canal.
Then visit Emin Suliman minaret which is a magnificent combination of ancient Uighur and Islamic architecture. It is the tallest ancient tower in Xinjiang and the only Islamic ancient minaret in the country. Locals call it “pure tower.”

Day 11, Turpan for whole day

Activities: Visit Idikut (Gaochang) ancient city, Toyuq village, Bizeklik Thousand Buddha caves and Flaming Mountains
Details:After breakfast at the hotel, We start our tour in Turpan with a visit to ancient city of Idikut (Gaochang). The city was first built in the first Century BC and later became capital of the Idikut (Gaochang) Uighur Kingdom of the 8th Century.
We’ll visit the city for about 40 minutes and then Move on to Toyuq village, an old, beautiful and timeless village with a friendly Uighur community. Here we visit several local families and have lunch with a local family at their home. This could be the highlight of your tour of the day.
After lunch we visit Bizeklik Thousand Buddha caves which used to be an important center for Buddhist worshipers under the Xizhou Huigu government of the Idikut (Gaochang) Kingdom.
On the way back to the hotel we will stop at the Flaming Mountain which people claimed to be the hottest and driest on the Silk Road that “flying birds even a thousand miles away dare not to come”.

Day 12, Turpan to Dunhuang and Camp in the Desert

Activities: Take fast speed train to Dunhuang and camp in the desert, visit Crescent lake
Details:Our driver/guide transfer to Turpan railway station for your bullet train to Dunhuang (Liuyaun station) which is about 3:30 hours train journey.
Our local guide and driver will pick up you from Liuyuan train station and drive to Echo-sand mountain for camping overnight in the desert. First stop over at the mysterious Crescent lake which is Known to the world as “the first spring in the desert”, no-one can explain the formation of such a geological oddity. crescent lake is like a crescent moon, is nestled in the vast desert for thousands of years, its water is very clear and sweet.
Later pack up camels and begin camel safari into the desert. You’ll enjoy the beautiful high sand dunes during the Safari. After about an hour camel ride, select a nice place for camping and set up tents. The camel man make fire and make desert kebabs for you.
As shooting stars light the sky and the desert welcomes you to rest.

Day 13, Dunhuang to Xi’an

Activities: Enjoy the sunrise (on a good day), Pack up and ride the camels out of the desert, shower at the hotel and then visit Mogao Grottoes before taking flight to Xi’an (19:10/22:45)
Details:Enjoy the sunrise over the high sand dunes and then pack up the tents, sleeping bags on the camel and ride the same camels out of the desert.
First have a shower at a hotel to get rid of the sands and dusts from the desert, but the memory stays forever.
Then Continue to Mogao Grottoes which were constructed over a millennium ago from the 4th to 14th centuries. The caves are also known as the Thousand Buddha Caves with two distinctions of being one of the most notable grottoes in China as well as the best-preserved treasure house of Buddhist art, sutras, murals and sculptures in the world.
Finally take evening flight to Xi’an at 19:10/22:45

Day 14, Explore Xi’an for whole day

Activities: Visit famous Terra-cotta warriors, Bell Tower, Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Hui mosque and city wall.
Details:After breakfast we start our wonderful one day tour with a visit to Terra-cotta warriors which is one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. This site is about an hour drive from Xi’an city. we spend whole morning there and drive to Bell Tower after lunch. Bell tower is located in downtown area, it is a Chinese traditional building and geographical center of the ancient capital, best preserved and largest wooden tower in China.
After seeing the Wall for about an hour we continue our tour to wild goose Pagoda which is a well preserved ancient holy building for Buddhism.
later visit the Hui grand mosque located in Hui minority area, construction of the mosque has rich Chinese features combined with Arabic style. It is one of the oldest and largest mosque in China. Finally drive to Xi’an city wall which is the symbol of Xi’an and the most ancient existing city wall in China until today.
We tour the Wall for a few hours by walking around or riding bicycle as your like (on your own expenses).

Day 15, Xi’an to your Next destination

Activities: See you off at Xi’an airport
