Our guide will pick you up from Urumqi airport and accompany you to your Hotel. For the first day in Xinjiang you are free to explore on you own as you will.
Urumqi is the capital city of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of the people’s republic of China. It is located in the north – west of the country. Urumqi was a major hub on the Silk Road during China’s Tang dynasty and developed its reputation as a leading cultural and commercial center during the Qing dynasty. Literal translation of Urumqi means “beautiful pasture” in Mongolian language. It is the largest city in China’s western region. Since 1990s Urumqi has developed economically and now serves as a regional transport hub, educational,cultural and commercial center.
Drive through Kurban Tongut desert, wild animal protection area and visit Wucaitan multi colored reain-bow beach
After breakfast, meet your guide and driver at the hotel. We will drive towards Burjin County, crossing the vast Kurbantongut Desert. Along the way, we pass through the Karamay Wild Animals Protection Area, where you may spot wild horses, camels, or deer. Feel free to ask your driver to stop for photos at any time.
We will arrive in the pleasant town of Burqin in the afternoon and check into the hotel. Later, we will visit Wucaitan (Rainbow Beach), known for its hills of many colors on the north bank of the Irtysh River. The south bank is a beautiful contrast of green forests and rolling hills, offering a panoramic desert view.
After dinner, you can visit the lively local night market to experience the friendly atmosphere and taste fresh local fish.
Drive to hemu village for hiking around the village and stay overnight in Jiadengyu
After breakfast we continue our scenic drive, passing through grasslands and winding mountain roads lined with pine trees, until we arrive at the picturesque Hemu Village. Here, you can enjoy a walk along the Hemu River and climb to the village’s viewing platform for a beautiful panoramic view. Hemu is celebrated as one of the most beautiful villages in China.
After exploring Hemu, we will drive to Jiadengyu, known as the gateway to Kanas Lake, where we will stay overnight.
Visit Kanas lake for most of the day and return to Burjin for overnight
Enjoy the beautiful landscape around the lake. After lunch, you are free to choose from various outdoor activities at your own expense, such as hiking, boating, horseback riding, or river rafting.
For an incredible panoramic view, you may take an optional shuttle bus or horse ride (at your own expense) to Guan Yu Tai (Fish Watching Pavilion). From this highest point, you can witness the famous changing colors of Kanas Lake throughout the day.
On our return drive to Jiadengyu, we will stop for photos and short walks at beautiful spots along the Kanas River, including Monn Bay, Wolong Bay, and Shenxian Bay.
We will then continue to Burjin County to check in to our hotel for the night.
whole day drive to Kuitun, visit Ghost city and oil zone on the way
After breakfast at your hotel set out for Kuitun. First stop at Wurghu town and visit Ghost City where you’ll also have an opportunity to stretch your legs have a short walk and back in time.
The Ghost Town is the nickname for Feng Cheng (the Windy Town) and it is named as such for just the wind rather than its appearance. After millennia of erosion by the wind and the rain, the present strange sight of Yardang landform was formed. This is not only a good place in which to travel but it also attracts a great deal of attention and interest of those who appreciate its scientific value.
You’ll also visit the Oil zone of Karamay along the way. Arrive at the hotel by dinner time and stay overnight.
Drive to Yining after breakfast and visit Sayram lake and Guozigou Bridge on the way
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Yining city and you’ll be treated to the stunning Gobi scenery of Northern Xinjiang and the majestic Tianshan Mountains along the way.
By lunchtime, we’ll reach Sayram Lake, which is not only the highest and largest alpine lake in Xinjiang but also renowned as “The Last Tear of the Atlantic”. In the afternoon, we’ll take a driving tour around the lake, pausing at various spots to snap photos and enjoy some light hiking.
Once we’ve finished exploring Sayram Lake, we’ll make our way to Yining city. En route, we’ll stop to marvel at the Guozigou Bridge, one of the most magnificent bridges in China, which spans the Guozigou Valley.
We’ll arrive in Yining city in time for dinner and check into our hotel. In the evening, you’ll have free time to wander around the Kazanqi and Liuxing Street Folk Area
Drive to Karajun grassland and then head to Tekas Bagua city for overnight
After breakfast meet your guide and driver and then drive to Karajun Grassland which is one of the best and most beautiful grasslands in China and was recognized as a World Heritage Site The by United Nations
Once you arrive, you’ll be treated to a wide variety of breathtaking scenery. There are majestic snow – capped mountains, vast and charming grassland landscapes, and deep, forest – filled valleys
Visit the yurts of local nomadic people and share a cup of tea with them to experience the local lifestyle. Once you’re done here, drive to Tekas County, which is known as the “Bagua City” without traffic lights because it has no traffic lights.

Drive to Narat and spend whole afternoon around Narat grassland
Leave from Tekas county after breakfast, drive through some villages, grasslands and farming lands, arrive in Narat Grassland at about noon and have lunch here. locals from Xinjiang boasts the beauty of Xinjiang with Narat Grasland as it is one of the most beautiful parts of our region.
After lunch,We will visit the Kongzhong Grassland (Sky
Grassland ), which is one of the most beautiful grasslands in China. Here, you
can experience the unique lifestyle of the Kazak ethnic group, deeply
appreciate their rich cultural connotations, and enjoy the magnificent scenery
such as the vast grassland and the majestic snow-capped mountains, immersing
yourself in the wonders of nature and the charm of ethnic culture.
Whole day drive to Urumqi through north part of famous Duku highway
After breakfast, head to Urumqi via the famous Duku Highway in the North, one of the most beautiful highways in China. On the way, we’ll drive through some passes. The roadside scenery is like a beautiful picture, with various natural views like snow-capped mountains, forests and grasslands. Also, you can enjoy the wonderful sight of the Gongnaisi Rive
